While Lawal was preparing tea in Naima’s room, he reportedly fell from the balcony at approximately 8:00 am, and despite being rushed to Entebbe Referral Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Items belonging to Lawal, which included two smartphones, a pair of shoes, headsets, a training kit, and chargers, were recovered from his backpack. As the investigation progresses, police are retrieving CCTV footage and conducting thorough interrogations to ascertain the events leading to the incident. There is a strong emphasis from Nigerian authorities on ensuring a transparent investigation without any cover-ups.
