Jamaican Man Charged with Attempted Murder of Florida Police Officers

Reece Anglin, a 32-year-old man from Montego Bay, Jamaica, has been charged with attempted murder of two police officers in Florida. During the exchange, Elliot was injured but managed to flee the scene while Anglin also escaped. Subsequently, Elliot was apprehended within the apartment complex and was transported to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment. Anglin was captured two days later on February 14 by Tampa police and subsequently transferred to Broward jail.

Both Anglin and Elliot are facing two counts of attempted murder against law enforcement officers. Fortunately, no officers sustained injuries during the confrontation, and several firearms were recovered from the scene. The BSO has indicated that the investigation is ongoing, led by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
