Owendo Gas-to-Power Plant Construction to Begin in June

The construction of the 125MW Owendo gas-to-power (GTP) plant is slated to commence in June. The stakeholders involved have reached an agreement on the schedule for the plant, highlighting an anticipated commissioning date. The project is being jointly developed by the Gabon Power Company, a state-owned entity, and Finland’s Wärtsilä, under a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) independent power producer (IPP) model.
