Cassandra Hove was a proud member of an all-female detective team known as Team Lozikeyi, named after the legendary Ndebele queen Lozikeyi Dlodlo, a prominent figure in Zimbabwe’s history. In light of this incident, Police Chief Commissioner General Stephen Mutamba conveyed his condolences to the Hove family and has mandated a thorough investigation into her untimely death, as stated by police spokesman Commissioner Paul Nyathi.

As of Friday, the main suspect in the murder of Detective Hove was still at large, although authorities have detained three men connected to the case, who are expected to appear in court on Saturday. Born on November 5, 1990, in Mberengwa, Hove was a mother to three daughters and a son. Friends have reported that she was contemplating a transition into a banking career after acquiring qualifications in forensic accounting, showcasing her ambition and versatility beyond her police duties.
