He was tragically shot by unidentified assailants outside his residence in Oke Ose, Ilorin East LGA on Saturday night, with the police recovering five spent shells from the scene.

Idrissu Abubakar, who was 33 years old, was described as a dedicated advocate for peace and the advancement of pastoralists in Nigeria. This incident marks a grim continuation of violence against MACBAN leaders, with Mr. Abubakar being the second chairman fatally attacked this year, following the murder of Katsina state’s newly elected chairman, Alhaji Sirajo Mairana.
