Authorities reported her disappearance occurred at approximately 4:15 AM local time. Her friends reported her missing nearly 12 hours later, at 4 PM the same day. Surveillance footage indicated she was with a group of young adults just before she vanished.
The Dominican National Police and civil defense officials are currently involved in the search for Ms. Konanki. They are questioning individuals who were last seen with her, including a young man who entered the water, to gather more information.
