According to McKenna’s Moroccan girlfriend, Majda, he experienced a heart attack. However, the lack of an official death certificate and his burial occurring in a Moroccan cemetery merely two days postmortem have incited apprehension amongst his family in Australia.

Allan Moorhead, McKenna’s father, expressed his distress stating, “It’s soul destroying … I don’t know where to move, I don’t know what to do.” He recounted receiving a video call from Majda on February 22, during which she informed him of his son’s unexpected demise, with McKenna’s body visible in the background. The absence of a formal cause of death coupled with Majda’s lack of communication has left the Moorhead family in turmoil.

Moorhead has indicated that Majda has ceased all contact, not responding to any phone calls or messages. The family harbors concerns that McKenna’s financial success, as a proprietor of three companies in the United Kingdom, may have contributed to the circumstances surrounding his death.
