Connected Minerals Engages Hammerstein Drilling for Crucial Exploration in Namibia
Connected Minerals has engaged Hammerstein Drilling for a 2,500m drilling program in Namibia, set to begin in April. The focus will initially be on high-priority targets at the Etango North-East project before moving to Swakopmund. CEO Warrick Clent expressed excitement about this strategic step and its implications for future developments.
Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) has formally engaged Namibian drilling contractor Hammerstein Drilling to initiate a reverse circulation reconnaissance drilling program at the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects in Namibia. This program, scheduled to commence in April, will include 33 drilling holes totaling 2,500 meters, distributed as 2,000 meters at Etango North-East and 450 meters at Swakopmund.
Initially, the drilling efforts will prioritize high-value targets at Etango North-East, identified following a comprehensive rock chip sampling program completed in December 2024. After these tasks are fulfilled, the drilling operations will transition to Swakopmund to target areas highlighted in a recent horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey.
CEO Warrick Clent emphasized that the collaboration with Hammerstein Drilling represents a pivotal advancement, enabling the company to commence operations in April. “The commencement of drilling will be a major milestone for Connected Minerals and will build on the encouraging targets we have identified at both projects during our field work to date,” Clent remarked.
He also expressed optimism regarding the anticipated outcomes, stating, “We look forward to beginning drilling in April, just four months after the relisting of Connected Minerals, and anticipate strong news flow in the months ahead.” Notably, Hammerstein Drilling possesses significant experience in conducting reverse circulation drilling programs, not only in Namibia but also in Angola and beyond.
In summary, Connected Minerals has appointed Hammerstein Drilling to commence a significant drilling program in Namibia, focusing initially on promising targets at Etango North-East before advancing to Swakopmund. This initiative marks a substantial milestone for the company, alongside a forward-looking perspective on information dissemination in the upcoming months.
