Akani further elaborated that the inaugural Season 1 of MTN Champs was instrumental in uncovering raw talents, some of whom have now received full athletic scholarships in the United States. Amadin Enabulele, Chairman of the Edo Sports Commission, emphasized the current administration’s commitment to nurturing grassroots sports. He noted that Governor Monday Okpebholo had approved the use of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and provided essential resources to facilitate an effective and successful event in Edo State.
