Stefano Domenicali, the President and Chief Executive of Formula One, is scheduled to visit Bangkok next week following the Australian Grand Prix for discussions regarding a possible Formula One race in the Thai capital. Domenicali, who previously led Ferrari, recently extended his contract with Formula One until 2029 and is actively pursuing new markets as the sport’s global popularity increases.

Although the current Formula One schedule consists of 24 races that are largely confirmed for several years, the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort is assured of its place only until 2026. Additionally, the Belgian Grand Prix has secured a contract extension to remain in the lineup for four out of six years from 2026 to 2031, permitting the introduction of new race venues.

Domenicali indicated that Thailand could potentially join the racing circuit, among various other locations under consideration. \”The good thing that we were able to do in the last couple of years has been to focus on the places that we believe represent the future for Formula One,\” he stated during an interview in Melbourne.
