Egypt has condemned Israeli air strikes on Gaza that killed over 300 Palestinians, asserting these actions violate ceasefire agreements and threaten regional stability. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry called for international intervention and pressure on Israel to achieve a permanent ceasefire.
On March 18, 2025, the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed strong condemnation of Israeli air strikes targeting the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of over 300 Palestinians, primarily women and children, as reported by WAFA news agency. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry characterized these actions as severe violations of the ceasefire agreement and a dangerous escalation threatening regional stability.
The Ministry stated, “Egypt voiced its complete rejection of all Israeli attacks aimed at re-igniting tension in the region and thwarting efforts to calm the situation and restore stability.” Furthermore, Egypt called upon the international community to intervene swiftly to halt what it termed Israeli aggression in Gaza, urging action to prevent a resurgence of violence.
Egypt also urged all involved parties to increase pressure on Israel to facilitate mediators in their ongoing efforts towards achieving a long-lasting ceasefire. This call for immediate action reflects Egypt’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region amidst escalating tensions.
In summary, Egypt condemned the recent Israeli air strikes on Gaza, emphasizing the severe loss of Palestinian lives and the violation of ceasefire agreements. The country has urged the international community to take swift action to prevent further escalation and to assist in mediating a lasting peace in the region.
