Car Theft Cases Reported During World Cup Qualifier Match Viewing
A man’s Toyota IST was stolen while he watched a match in Nairobi. He parked the car along Kisauni Road and reported it missing after returning. Separately, a white Toyota Axio was stolen from a residential area in Juja, prompting police investigations in both cases.
A man’s vehicle was stolen while he was watching the Kenya versus Gabon World Cup qualifier match. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the individual parked his silver Toyota IST with registration number KBN 093B along Kisauni Road, behind Nairobi West Hospital at approximately 3:40 PM before heading to the fan park at the stadium.
When he returned at a little past 7 PM, he discovered that his parking spot was empty. He promptly reported the theft at Akila Police Station in Lang’ata. Law enforcement officers have initiated an investigation aimed at recovering the stolen vehicle.
In a separate incident, Juja police are also looking into the theft of a white Toyota Axio, which was taken from a residence in the Matangi area near Rurii Primary School, Kimbo. The owner had left the car parked outside their home on Saturday night only to find it missing the following morning.
