Russia’s team is represented by Grigory Karasin, Chair of the Federation Council’s Foreign Affairs Committee, and Sergei Beseda, an advisor to the Federal Security Service director. Earlier discussions with Ukrainian officials, including Defence Minister Rustem Umerov, were characterized as “productive and focused.” Topics covered included significant concerns such as energy, as Ukraine strives for a “just and lasting peace.”
