The Liberia National Police (LNP) has announced the suspension of two officers in connection with an unlawful entry incident involving a vehicle owned by Representative Yekeh Y. Kolubah. The suspension follows an investigation conducted by the Professional Standards Division (PSD) regarding the unauthorized access and opening of a gray Nissan Jeep parked at the Capitol Building on February 18, 2025.

Chief Inspector Frank P. Banda has been suspended without pay for two months for unlawfully entering the vehicle, while Sergeant Sam C.F. Karbah faces a one-month suspension for opening the vehicle. Both officers were implicated in a case that also involved a report of lost cash and valuable items, totaling US$25,000, 2,000,000 LRD, and various electronics and jewelry, as reported by the representative.

The LNP emphasized that should any connections between the suspended officers and the alleged theft be established, they would be referred to the Crimes Services Division for further investigation. Furthermore, they have invited Jack Traore, who reportedly drilled into the vehicle, for questioning.
