Meerut Murder: Muskan Rastogi’s Deception in Saurabh Rajput’s Case

Muskan Rastogi tricked her lover Sahil Shukla into believing his deceased mother communicated with him, aiding in the murder of her husband, Saurabh Rajput. Their criminal activities led to Rajput’s death and dismemberment while their daughter slept nearby. The couple was arrested on March 18 following the discovery of the crime’s horrific details.

Muskan Rastogi, accused of murdering her husband Saurabh Rajput with her lover Sahil Shukla, allegedly deceived him into believing that his deceased mother was communicating with him. Through various messages sent from multiple Snapchat accounts, Muskan posed as his late mother, claiming she would protect him. One significant message stated, “Shakti (power) will protect you.” She referred to herself as the “bahu” (daughter-in-law) and declared that Rajput was destined to die at her hands.

The couple was arrested on March 18, following the discovery of Rajput’s body concealed in a drum filled with cement and water. It is reported that they poisoned Rajput’s food with sedatives before killing him on March 4, shortly after his return from London. Muskan and Sahil’s relationship reportedly began in 2020 when Rajput took a job overseas, leaving Muskan and their daughter behind in Meerut.

After the murder, Muskan allegedly dismembered Rajput’s body into 15 pieces while her 5-year-old daughter slept nearby. Subsequently, she left her daughter with her parents and travelled to Shimla with Sahil. The authorities were alerted about the situation on March 18, leading to their apprehension shortly thereafter.

The case surrounding the murder of Saurabh Rajput highlights the profound manipulation perpetrated by Muskan Rastogi, who used deceptive communications to sway her lover, Sahil Shukla, into participating in a criminal conspiracy. The shocking details of the crime, including the methodical approach to the murder and the chilling actions taken while their child was present, underscore the complexities of human relationships under duress. The investigation and subsequent arrests exemplify the dire consequences of such deeply disturbed actions.
