The Nexon EV has transitioned to a 45 kWh battery option, phasing out the previous 40 kWh model. It boasts the capability to recharge to 80 percent in less than an hour, with a driving range between 350-375 km. The updated Tiago EV, a compact hatchback, includes a 24 kWh battery that provides a range of 190-210 km.
All models come with extensive warranties: 8 years or 160,000 km for the battery and motor, and 7 years or 150,000 km for the vehicle itself. Moreover, customers receive a complimentary 7.2 kW home charging wall box, enhancing the ownership experience.
In reflection of this significant market expansion, Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., expressed, “We are thrilled to introduce our electric vehicle portfolio in Mauritius, marking our first international expansion beyond the SAARC region. With the government’s strong commitment to sustainable mobility, Mauritius holds strategic importance in our EV journey.” He further remarked on Tata’s role as a leader in the EV revolution in India and its commitment towards supporting Mauritius’ transition to electric mobility.
In summary, Tata.ev has successfully launched its electric vehicle lineup, including the Tiago, Punch, and Nexon EV, in Mauritius, marking a pivotal step in its international expansion beyond the SAARC region. Each model features varying battery options, impressive ranges, and significant warranty offerings, aligning with the global trend towards sustainable transportation.
