On March 28, 2025, Liberia and China formalized an Economic and Technical Cooperation agreement aimed at advancing sustainable development through collaborative projects. The agreement was signed by Liberian Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti and Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Yin Chengwu, during a ceremony in Monrovia.
