On February 16, 2020, investigators dismantled a drug lab in a condo on Seymour Street, recovering over four kilograms of fentanyl. The investigation culminated in a series of raids on July 27, 2020, where police confiscated over 20 kilograms of fentanyl, nearly 10 kilograms of methamphetamine, and several firearms, including a live grenade, along with over $315,000 in cash. The estimated total value of the drugs seized was around $5 million.

Casey was arrested shortly thereafter but cut off his electronic monitoring device on April 10, 2022, just days before he was next scheduled to appear in court. Following this, he managed to evade law enforcement until his recent capture.
