Clarendon Man Charged in Connection with Shopkeeper’s Murder

A 35-year-old man from Clarendon has been charged in connection to the murder of Oliver Andrews, a 48-year-old shopkeeper known locally as ‘Suity’. This violent incident took place on Thursday, April 17, at Andrews’s place of business located in Havanah Heights, Clarendon. The suspect, identified as Gofar Brown, faces multiple charges including murder and possession of illegal firearms and ammunition.
According to reports from the May Pen police, Brown allegedly confronted Andrews at approximately 8:15 PM armed with a firearm. It is reported that Brown fired several times at Andrews before fleeing the scene on foot. Upon police arrival, Andrews was found with gunshot wounds to the upper body and succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital.
The police apprehended Brown on Wednesday, April 23, during an intelligence-driven operation. Following a questioning session with his attorney present, he was formally charged on April 24.
