In separate developments, police also detained Danrani Usman, a 32-year-old from Gengi village, accused of stealing 50 sheep. Usman allegedly implicated a man named Isah, who is currently on the run, as his accomplice in this incident. According to Abiodun, this arrest took place on April 27, 2025, around 9 AM, by officers and local vigilante members.

The police spokesperson noted that further inquiries into this case of cattle rustling are underway, and efforts are being made to locate Usman’s accomplice.
