Sinoma Investment International Limited is set to supply an additional 3,000 e-tricycles, capable of seating nine passengers plus a driver.

Moreover, Messrs. HNCEGC will furnish 100 BYD Dolphin EVs, 100 BYD Qin Plus EVs, and 37 BYD Yuan Plus EVs at a contract value of N16.3 billion. KB Laman Motors Nigeria Limited has been contracted for the establishment of charging points for these e-buses and tricycles, amounting to N8.4 billion. This initiative, backed by the North East Development Commission, aims to decrease carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency within the region.

President Tinubu had approved the acquisition of these electric vehicles in October of the previous year and has previously inspected samples of the electric vehicles, charging stations, and batteries.
