Sudiksha Konanki, a 20-year-old student from the University of Pittsburgh, has been reported missing during her spring break trip in the Dominican Republic. The last confirmed sighting of Ms. Konanki occurred around 4 a.m. on March 11, as she was en route to the beach with a companion, Joshua Riibe, 22.

Ms. Konanki had traveled to the Dominican Republic on March 3 and was residing at the Hotel Riu Republica in Punta Cana alongside five friends. Joshua Riibe, an American citizen who was also in Punta Cana for spring break, was not part of Ms. Konanki’s immediate group of friends.

Riibe is currently labeled as a person of interest in the ongoing investigation, though he has not been classified as a suspect. Authorities have conducted interviews with him, during which Riibe stated that he had met Ms. Konanki the night before she disappeared. According to his account, they shared a kiss in the ocean, followed by a wave pulling her under. He claims he rescued her but fell asleep on the beach afterward due to vomiting from inhaling water.

The investigation is still active, with authorities promising to disclose further information as it becomes available. Anyone with pertinent details is encouraged to contact the Loudoun County, Virginia police at 571-258-3200.

The disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki during her spring break trip in the Dominican Republic is a matter of increasing concern. Her last known whereabouts were with Joshua Riibe, who has become a person of interest in the investigation.
