Minibus Driver and Passengers Arrested After Gun Discovery
A minibus driver and multiple passengers were arrested after a Glock 9mm was found in the vehicle. None of the individuals claimed ownership of the bag containing the firearm, leading to their detention for investigation.
On Sunday, a minibus driver and his passengers were apprehended after a Glock 9mm pistol was discovered aboard the vehicle. The police reported that the driver, Adrian Dailey, and several passengers were located at Shanta Creek on the Soesdyke Linden Highway when officers, acting on received intelligence, conducted a search of the minibus.
The firearm was located in a bag situated behind the driver’s seat. However, Mr. Dailey stated that the bag was not his. The passengers were identified as follows: Pettol October, a security guard; Sharmain Yearwood, a supervisor; Dewon Johnson, a housewife; Janell Maloney, a supervisor; Sherwin October, a foreman; Amanda Glendon, a Customer Service Representative; Tramain Gordon, a housewife; Nitesha Sookwah, a housewife; Nicki Jordan, a consultant; Devon Hazel, a 25-year-old; Andrew Black, a 30-year-old Block-Maker; and two 17-year-old girls who were also questioned.
Authorities requested that all individuals retrieve their bags, but none claimed ownership of the bag containing the firearm. All parties denied any knowledge of the weapon. Consequently, the involved individuals were informed of the offense, arrested, and transported to the Timehri Police Station for further investigation, with Mr. Dailey and the others held in custody.
