Abiodun detailed the arsenal of tools found with the suspects: they included a walkie-talkie, two cartridges, multiple cell phones, an ATM card, electric tasers, pepper spray, and other charms. During questioning, the suspects admitted to their plans, indicating that their motive was to kidnap the woman for ransom. They also alleged that the weapons had been procured from an associate who masqueraded as a member of a civilian volunteer group.
