In Niger State, authorities have apprehended Jamilu Saidu for the alleged murder of Iliyasu Aminu, who was a 30-year-old guest at a local wedding ceremony. According to Wasiu Abiodun, the spokesperson for the Niger State Police Command, the altercation erupted amid the wedding festivities on January 18, 2025, at approximately 8 p.m. Following the attack, police from the Bangi Division quickly intervened, resulting in Saidu’s arrest. The suspect has since admitted to the crime and is undergoing further investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Minna.
